UV COMPATIBLES

We have tailor-made the photospeed of our resin to match those of the lasers and DLPs used in desktop printers. Both types are available in Hard, Firm, Flexible and Castable formats. The DLP resin is compatible with many different projector type printers and the laser is optimized for 405nm wavelength. We have numerous other grades with specific properties so please ask if you need something with different properties.

Hard resin should be used for parts that want to be very strong and rigid.

Firm resin has slight flexibility and will return, so is ideal for clips or items that must give a little.

Flexible resin should be used for parts that need to be soft and pliable such as watch straps or gaskets.

Castable resin has the lowest amount of ash of all of the resins and is ideal for use in investment casting for jewellery etc

TIPS

Going from Castable to Hard, Firm and then Flexible the point size on the supports might need to be increased up to 1mm to ensure your object stays attached depending on the size of your print.

Ideal cleaning on post exposure for all parts – Once removed from the platform spray with soapy water and thoroughly rinse with warm water. Submerge the part in water and post expose using a UV lamp for 10 minutes. Remove from the water and continue to post expose with the UV lamp for 2 hours.
