3D FOR ART & DESIGN

3D printing is seen as the future of the art and design industry allowing for many creative models to be created as a 3D object. 3D printing can be used to turn drawings into 3d objects and used to create sculptures and ornaments for use in interior designs. This method of printing also allows for artistic designs to be printed for use in other industries such as the fashion and beauty industry in the form of fashion accessories.

Through the use of our Liquid Crystal 3d printers the most artistic designs can be created. Our Daylight Firm resin is also very ideal for joining many parts to make one object allowing for variety of colours to be combined together creating artistic prints.

SUITABLE RESINS

Daylight Firm Cream, Black and Grey are the best resins to use for art and design prints. The daylight firm resin shrinks the least and is ideal when printing multiple parts due to the fact this resin works best with the screws which are used to join the parts together.

ART & DESIGN TIPS

To hold small detailed prints with a thickness of 0.2mm-0.4mm it is recommended to increase the exposure time by 5-10 sec per layer.

If you are printing separate objects to be joined together an epoxy glue is recommend. Evo-stik Rapid is a glue we can recommend for our resins. For joining parts with screws holes will need adding on your prints so that screws can then be screwed in afterwards. M2 screws are recommended.
